Brothers Reunited after 74 years at Kartarpur Corridor

Partition Scenario:

Siddiq and Habib were two brothers of a Punjabi family. In the partition and killing chaos of 1947, millions of people lost their lives. Sikh News report Siddiq was segregated from his family as he was an infant (just 4 years old). His brother Habib could not move to Pakistan's Punjab. Habib had left an orphan and was grown up in a different family from Indian Punjab.

The waited-Reunion:

Now, with help of modern technologies, both the brothers found their way and links of their family and were in communication for a long. Due to ongoing Indo-Pak tensions, they could not meet. Habib was living in Phullanwal Area in the territory of Ludhiana, Indian Punjab while Siddiq was in Pakistan's Faisalabad. Their meeting video went viral.

They both traveled to Kartarpur Corridor and their bring-together become possible after 74 years. The footage of the hugging and crying of brothers and the viewers went emotional.

The Kartarpur project is turning out to be a Hope for not only the Sikhs but for Muslims as well. 

The Kartarpur Corridor is a sacred place for the Sikh Community and the resting of the Founder of Sikhism Baba Guru Nanak Dev.

The Kartarpur Corridor was closed for some time due to COVID restrictions and the surge of delta variants in India. It was then reopened in November 2021.
