In this furious world, we might have no time for the quest for rights. The thing to note is that everyone has the right to be endorsed. What if you do not have a voice for your right?
In conversation with Awaz E Bezuban, the organization which awares regarding the rights of those who do not have their voice, the animals. Awaz e Bezuban means "A Voice of Speechless". Sidra Qamar the founder of Awaz e Bezuban with her friends initiated this organization in pursuit to create awareness for animal rights.
"Implementing the thought"
In 2019, an aggressive encroachment drive at the empress market in Karachi resulted in the demolition of pet shops, and the animals kept in them were harmed. Sidra was an animal lover from a very young age realized that this is the time we need to establish a perception and education for animal rights and founded Awaz e Bezuban. Awaz e Bezuban initiated the thought for animal rights through awareness sessions with youngsters.

"Every creature deserve its Right"
Allah has created the entire system of the universe for not just humans but for all creatures. The Quran and Ahadith also narrate the right for every being but unfortunately, we do not know and if we know, then we do not educate it to others. Like Humans, Animals and Plants also feel pain, hunger, and thrust. They also possess feelings. That's why every creature's rights are important. If a donkey cannot say does not mean that we use them for an overloaded task.
"Role of Youth"
Awaz e Bezuban is entirely focused on educating the youth. Youngsters actually are in such a learning phase that they have an acceptance capability. It is productive to teach youth as they can transfer their thoughts in the next generations.
"Why children are afraid of Animals"
Children have been taught since their childhood that Animals can harm you, this is the main reason behind their scare of animals. We associate animals with several diseases and dirtiness. We have also heard that donkey is used as a metaphor to mock a child if he/she lacks intelligence.
Some children are actually scared of animals due to "Zoophobia" but by the end of the day, it is depending on elders and parents what they preach to their children.
"Disease of Discourage"
There are very few people who are animal lovers and they prefer to pursue their career working for animals. This is due to continuous discouragement and demotivation from their society. This leads to the fact that they are very few people in the animal doctor profession.
"Adopt not shop"
The Pet culture is very toxic and is turning out as a business and also a reason for Classism in animals.
Due to pet culture, people are turning out as breeding conscious, they like animals in a specific class and hate other classes, and this has created a new “Racism” in Animals.
You are an animal lover only when you have no difference between Pets and Strays.
"How to Protect Animals"
Protecting Animals is not expensive or time-consuming. Only a minimal effort is required.
- For protecting animals from harsh weather like rain, extreme summer, or winter, we can set up a small cat's house made of cardboard in any corner of our house like a garage, courtyard, etc.
- We can take care of infant kittens until they are grown up.
- We can give them extra food.
- We can place a water pot for birds.
- If we found an injured animal, we can contact any veterinarian or any animal shelter.
It is our own responsibility to protect them at our level to eradicate toxicity.
